Nose Surgery

Nose surgery is one of the most frequently requested cosmetic procedures. It is generally carried out under general anaesthesia or sedation on an outpatient basis. Depending on the extent of the operation, the patient must wear a special nose cast from between seven to ten days. For the first 24 hours after surgery a nasal tamponade is inserted. When the nasal cartilage is corrected at the same time, a temporary plastic-coated splint is inserted for seven to ten days. The post-operative process is generally pain free. In addition to the cosmetic correction a further operation to improve the breathing of a patient can also be carried out at the same time.

Modern operation techniques allow for different ways to reshape the nose itself, or just its tip, or the nostrils. A comprehensive analysis of the nose, its functional performance and the subcutaneous tissue are important prior to surgery.

Reshaping of the tip of the nose is also possible under local anaesthesia with sedation.

Nose surgeries are part of the daily procedures at the Marigan Clinic and are carried out with the utmost sensitivity and care.
