Blepharoplasty Eyelid Surgery

Inverted eyelids make your eyes look heavy and tired, due to sagging skin or small fat deposits. The cause is age-related sagging of the subcutaneous tissue. The so-called bags under the eyes result from fat deposits, sagging skin, muscles and subcutaneous tissue. This genetic predisposition can leave you looking tired and sad.

Eyelid surgery is carried out on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia and with sedation, if desired. The post-operative healing process is generally pain free and the patient can usually carry out their normal activities within eight to fourteen days.

As with all our surgical procedures, we put a special emphasis on a natural result. Blepharoplasty is the most frequent procedure in the field of cosmetic surgery.  This fairly minor procedure can bring about an amazing change in appearance. The correction of the eyelids is often combined with other surgical procedures such as a facelift.
